Weekend Inspiration: Close-up

All I want this winter is to dress up warm and comfortable.
Some winter I was like wearing tights all winter long but in the moment I already put on tights under my pants.
I just want to stay warm and not freezing. Layering and knit are definitely the best solution for my problem
and I don´t care if I wear it all winter long.
I still feel comfortable and that´s the main point.

Christmas Decoration

I´ve spent last week decorating my apartment to get more christmas spirit in it.
I love small minimalistic pieces with a lovely touch, like these things I´ve selected above.
1 Cozy light installations are always the perfect choice for winter time. Snöflinga Star here
2 A funny colouful mug fo#r a hot chocolate, that reminds you on your childhood. Mumin Mug here
3 Matroschkas in the most simple design by #Maison Martin Margiela would look great on my wooden sideboard. here
4 Turn the nature into your home with a miniature fir tree. via ikea.com
5 For romantic hours as a pair or just to cuddle up in front of a chimney; luxury merino wool blanket. here
6 For those who havn´t got space for a real christmas tree, the christmas tree tape is a nice alternative. here
7 I love to decorate with natural material. I wouldn´t mind to have this candle holder made from birch wood. here
8 Even I like animals, fur in winter is the best solution against the freezing temperatures outsite. here 9 Another alternative
to a natural christmas tree offers Ikea again with this tree printed on a cotton cloth. via ikea.com

I love to decorate my home but I pay attention, less is sometimes more!
What you usually use to decorate your home?

Make-up Favorite

picture via vogue.de

I´m the kind of girl, who repeat again every day the same make-up procedure.
I have my favorite foundation from L´oreal, eyebrow pouder, mascara, cream pouder and blush.
That´s my daily essentials. Sometimes, when I have a good day and some space
for a more experimental make-up session I add some eye shadow to the rest.
Preferable in the colour shade you can see above on topmodel  Caroline Brasch.
Usually, I don´t wear it so heavy but she looks so great,
I´ll definitely will try it out the next time, statement brows completing the look.
Sometimes I´m yet again ready to add some experiments like this in my daily routine.

Wanted: Baum und Pferdgarten trousers

picture via camtyox instagram

When I saw these trousers for the first time it was just LOVE.
Spotted on camtyox instagram account, better known as camilleovertherainbow.com.
I love the simple filigree stripes on this woolen ground and hope to own them one time.
The only problem is that I can´t find them in the Online store of Baum und Pferdgarten.
I guess, the beauty is part of the Spring/Summer 14 Collection,
where I discovered a similar model but not in the same cut.
I hope to find them soon, I need this trousers soo much!

If you know more, than please tell me!!

Jennifer Lawrence for Dior Campaigne

pictures via camilleovertherainbow.com

So grown-up looks Jennifer Lawrence in the new Dior Magazine.
The black and white shots of the ´Hunger Games´ actress showing a total different ladylike side of her.
In masculine shapes she poses in front of Mikael Jansson´s camera.
She wears the collection with such a pure and natural elegance, I really admire.
Simply beautiful this talented (23-year old) beauty.

Julia Stegner for 25 Magazine Issue 3

pictures via thefashionography.com

I hope you don´t think that´s too pornographically to show here on the blog
but in my opinion, it´s can´t get much sexier shots than these of Julia Stegner for 25 Magazine.
These pictures are just aesthetically amazing. You see, german women
can be soo sexy and beautiful. I really like her deep expressive power in her eyes.

The Gentlewoman: Tilda Swinton

pictures via thegentlewoman.co.uk

Next in my series Gentlewoman is one of the most beautiful actress; Tilda Swinton.
Her look is so individual and unique,
and also fairylike at the same time, like she would come from a different planet.
In movies like The Chronicles of Narnia or We Need to Talk About Kevin we could admire
her natural beautifulness and at the same time her unquestionable talent in acting.
She provokes always this silent fascination in me.
The pictures above reflecting exactly this feelings, I just described.
She is one of the people I would definitely rank among my small list of idols, I have.

I wish I would wearing

It doesn´t look like in the picture now here in Germany but it feels like!
The temperatures falling and falling and the best option for me to stay warm is the turtleneck in the moment.
This sweater from Weekday already landed in my shopping bag during my last trip.
To that I would love to combine the flared trousers from Filippa K and
a cozy warm-keeping leather jacket from Acne. Booties by Cos,
gloves from Asos and a pastel pink scarf round off the outfit.
The jacket is also a nice variation to all the winter coats, all are wearing now, me included.

Weekend Inspiration

Black and white impressions are the right way to express you
my mental feelings in the moment.
Not dark and monotonous, as you could guess,
no,
it´s even more calm and  withdrawn into myself.
Do you know what I mean?
On the other side I´m so looking forward to our happening on sunday!
Guess what?

Advent companion

The first of December is not far away anymore. Time to think about an Advent companion.
I love to have Advent calendars. It´s a small holdover from my childhood and
I always want to maintain these lovely traditions. This candle is not just an Advent calender,
it´s stylish at the same time. Not obvious at the first glance
but so charming at the second glance, when you discover this detail.
Do you still have a calender for the pre-Christmas season? Order this lovely piece here.

Model of the Day: Suvi Koponen

The finish model, known from covers for ID-Magazine or campaigns for Cos,
glances with her natural beautifulness and a lightly androgyny look.
Espacially The modesty in her face  is what makes her so unique.
I loved the Cos campaign and all the other editorials with her as well,
reason enough to introduce you this talented lady.

Chloé vs. Acne: Blue Biker Jacket

I rediscovered this light baby blue as one of my winter colours for this year;
especially in combination with nude details like in both models above from Chloé (right) and Acne (left).
If I must choose I couldn´t. Both versions are exactly what I would like to own.
Honestly, non of them is affordable for me.
But if I had the choice, it would be a hard decision. What´s your favorite one?
The leather version in a light blue and simple nude details or whether
the light green version in suede with more striking details?
Acne or Chloé? That´s the question!
Buy them here or here

&Other Stories x Isabell Bois Capsule Collection

pictures via style.de

What a nice discovery I did these days!
This collaboration collection between &Other Stories and the designer Isabelle Bois
contains really the most beautiful clean leather goods.
The pieces will hit the store at the end of November/beginning December
and I won´t wait to see them!
The campaign shot already convinced me because of
this nice arrangement of cozy scarf and pretty model.

BTW, the shots are my favorites for ages.

Meghan Collison for Intermission Issue 8

pictures via  thefashionography.com

It´s always brave to photograph a fashion series in black and white.
In this case I must say, it definitely convinces me.
The play with light and grey shades gain center stage to
the fashion pieces and model Meghan Collison.
She does her really own bit to this succeeded editorial, I think.
